The purpose of this guide is to serve as a resource for the Campbell-Savona Central School District. C-S is a rural district in New York's Southern Tier. Though our community may not look very globally-minded at first glance, we are committed to providing a 21st century education to our students. We want our students to graduate college and career-ready with communication, collaboration, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and global competency skills. Thus, this guide incorporates both global and local resources for administrators, teachers, and students to achieve these lofty goals. This guide is divided into four sections:

In his TEDTalk, Hugh Evans describes a global citizen as someone who identifies first as a member of the human race and acts on that belief. Through anecdotes, he explains that we are facing a critical moment in which individuals and governments must stop looking at their "own problems" first and recognize that we share problems and we share the responsibility to solve those problems together. He also provides ways in which we can create sustainable a global citizenship movement(s).

Teachers for Global Classrooms is a year-long professional development opportunity for US teachers K-12 to become global education leaders. TGC helps teachers empower students as global citizens.

MY LATEST ADVENTURE
MOROCCO
March 13-28, 2017 I traveled to Morocco for my international field experience. My journey begins in Rabat, the capital, and continues in my host school in Fkih Ben Salah, a small agricultural city near Casablanca and Marrakesh.
